Better picture!

This and Kamigawa is what got me into Magic! ..but I didn’t know how to play very well then. I am ecstatic about this!

Cob webs and dust litter this particular corner of the internet, and there are tons of excuses that can be applied here. Rather than rave and banter on in detail, we will simply acknowledge the owner’s fault and tendency to succumb to that beast procrastination. That tempting, seductive beast that rapes intent and progress on every orface- given the chance, anyways.

Anywho!

Life goes on regardless of what decisions are made- or not made.

The last month has made it very difficult to further persue my Magic ambitions. Juggling relationships, obligations at the work place, and financial nonsense have all attempted to best me and my pety dreams. So to remain the responcible adult I am attempting to shape myself into I have set these things aside. And before picking these things back up, there are several questions pressing against me:

-What is it that I really would like out of Mtg?

-What sacrifices will have to be made?

-Am I willing to- or even able- to oblige?

-and, is it all worth it?

The first and final questions are the toughest to answer. Honestly, it’s an answer that keeps evolving. I want to test my strategy, my way, against other Planeswalkers. Prizes and riches are always nice. Even the very unlikelyhood of making a Pro Tour- even if just once!- would be a very, verry satisfying achievement. Whatever my reason may be today tomorrow or even years for now, it goes without saying overall I must enjoy, and love whatever I do.

Being an active, competitive player is something I initially underestimated. From days off, to finding and tuning my strategies, remaining aware of the metagame, and especially the finances are all basic obligations, and I am finding that it can be overwhelming at times. Despite all this, I still find that I am happy to continue this uncertian- perhaps sometimes now daunting- path. So long as I am enjoying myself and not hurting others, I do not see why I should turn back now. Not yet, anyways.

FACT: People with brown eyes are the most fun and happy. They kiss the best and will love when not wanted, they always end up falling for people they haven’t known long. They are most hyper an crazy people, you can’t do better then them. Re-post this if you have Brown eyes.

ya I totally am … wait who the fuck wrote this?

Read like a book, excluding hyper-tendancies. Err, then again..

“Tales from the Pit” #186

Wednesday Night Magic

So WNM has finally wrapped up. Whew. 41 contenders before a GP, and it was quite a cast. RDW, Wolfrun, & of course, Tempered Steel and good ole Moorland Haunt decks made an appearance. It was a tough night for many, but everyone fought viciously for the top 8.

In the finals I fell from 4-1 down to 4-2, knocking from 7th to 11th, but I absolutely love how my deck played and am anxious for next time.. Whenever that may be.

Oh! My match ups:
2-0 uw: haunted tokens
1-2 w:tempered steel
2-1 uw: humans
2-1 mono b
2-1 GR Wolfrun
0-2 RDW

Chandra’s Incinerate versus Jace’s Counterspell

Art by Steve Prescott and Jason Chan, respectively

“Who said there are no assurances in life? I assure you this is going to hurt.”

The pyromancer summoned up her mightiest onslaught of fire and rage. Jace feigned interest.
